She was falling off the table, wicked eyes I bid you well
She was good from every angle, my girl from Cambell.
She'll be running straight into fable, caring not a word
She's my raven, dark haired angel, my girl from Cambell.

And when she bids me to her, it's all I can do to stand
For she is my only one, the girl from Cambell.
And when the Brays of Mar, and they come crashing on
And I'm left there waiting alone, just me and the dawn.

I'll be waking on a shoulder, just me and the morning dew
She's my Hally with the valley, it was all that I could do.
But when she brings me to her, it's all I can do to stand
When the daybreak brings me to another, it's a fine morning.

Will she wait until the morning, give me one sweet goodbye
As she goes to the arms of another in the glen of Cambell.
